Do I need Travel Insurance?

Travel insurance is optional, but we highly recommend it.

We hope that your trip is relaxing and worry-free, but, just in case a situation arises before departure or during your trip that are out of your control, having travel insurance can be a valuable asset. If you don’t know where to start, travelinsurance.com searches multiples sites and has a lowest price guarantee. When purchasing trip insurance, please make sure that the policy you choose provides coverage for your insurance needs. This may include:

  • Medical coverage
  • Delayed or canceled flights
  • Lost or damaged luggage

What are the Bahamas Passport and Visa requirements?

Passports are required for all visitors in the Bahamas. No visas are required for US Citizens. Please remember to bring passports for each member of your group.

How can I be reached in an emergency during my crewed yacht charter?

Onboard, we have VHF radios and the Captain will have a cell phone where you can be reached in the event of an emergency. You can also bring along your own cell phone.  Most areas of the Exumas have some sort of cellular signal (except for the park). Please check with your provider that you have roaming capability in the Bahamas.


How much is the customary crew tip?

Standard crew gratuities are 15% – 20% of the charter rate depending on your satisfaction with our service.

The crew is an integral part of your yacht charter and we work hard to ensure that your vacation is a great one and will be remembered for many years to come. We are your Captain, chef, bartender, waiter, housekeeper, and tour guide.

We are happy to accept gratuities in cash, paypal/venmo, or personal checks. When using cash or check, the best way to handle the gratuity is to place the amount in an envelope addressed to the crew and either hand it to the Captain upon your departure from the yacht.
